The READ Association of Saginaw was established in 1966 to address the correlation between illiteracy and crime. Today, we offer various free reading programs including one-on-one mentoring, individualized tutoring appropriate for those with dyslexia, weekly storytime, family literacy programs, parent workshops, and more.

NOTHING! READ offers all of its programs at absolutely no cost to families.

The FLC opened in 2022 as a dedicated space offering free, intensive one-on-one tutoring for children struggling with reading and spelling, using the Barton Reading & Spelling System, plus weekly storytimes and parent workshops.

While we don't have a dedicated adult literacy program, Raising Readers Academy is a free, weekly family literacy program that teaches parents practical tools and strategies to support their children's reading at home, alongside age-appropriate activities for kids.
